There’s a constant flow of new restaurant openings in London, and, as a result, I have a list to try as long as my arm (longer in fact!). Another to add to the ever-growing names is the soon-to-open Balthazar in Covent Garden later this month.
The original New York restaurant is famous for weekend brunch dining and yummy fresh bread and pastries, baked on the premises (as will be the case in London). And its NYC star status was confirmed when Balthazar featured in one of the last episodes of Sex and The City.
The new London outpost will definitely be a welcome addition to the vibrant area near the Covent Garden Piazza. Serving up delicious French brasserie style cuisine, Balthazar is set to become the new place for breakfast meetings, lunch and dinner. The reservation line opens on 16 February so get booking… fast.
